Concerts

The Concerts Committee is responsible for bringing musical acts to campus. Events range from world-renowned artists to intimate acoustic coffeehouse performances.

Hayley Sherman
Committee Chair

Hayley is a senior Marketing and Finance major at Truman; her hometown is in Springfield, MO. She joined the board in the Spring of 2015, and her favorite SAB event was Bubble Soccer. She loves Truman because every student on campus has something that they are passionate about, making each organization a unique combination of students. Outside of class and SAB, Hayley is involved in Sigma Sigma Sigma, Delta Sigma Pi, Pershing Society, and she’s a Local PSR teacher. Her hobbies include playing/watching any sport, reading, traveling, and napping. Hayley’s dream job would be something in law.

Tim is a senior Accounting and Finance double major at Truman; his hometown is in East Peoria, IL. He joined the board in the fall of 2014, and his favorite SAB event was the Last Lecture Series. He loves Truman because of how intelligent and yet humble students and faculty are. Outside of class and SAB, Tim is involved in Alpha Kappa Psi and Delta Chi.  His hobbies include programming, exploring, reading, running, cooking, kayaking, and hiking. Tim’s dream job would be as a corporate real estate investor or management consultant.


Hannah Smiles

Hannah is a sophomore Communication Disorders and Exercise Science major; her hometown is Clarendon Hills, IL. She joined the board in the Fall of 2016. She loves Truman because everyone is so friendly, it’s a great atmosphere, and it feels like home to her. Outside of class and SAB, Hannah is involved in CCF and Pershing Society. Her hobbies include hanging with friends, hammocking, hiking, playing sports and watching Netflix. Hannah’s dream job is either a special education teacher or a occupational therapist.


Joey Goldman

Joey is a sophomore Business Administration major; his hometown is St. Louis, MO. He joined the board in the Fall of 2016 and his favorite SAB event so far has been Open Mic Night. He loves Truman because of the wide-range opportunities for extracurricular activities. Outside of class and SAB, Joey is involved with Club Tennis, Hillel, and Tru-Business Leaders Academy. His hobbies include playing tennis and jamming on his musical instruments. Joey’s dream job would be an entrepreneur or a lawyer for non-profit initiatives.


Daily Bennett

Daily is a freshman English Pre-MAE major at Truman; her hometown is Peculiar, MO. She joined the board in the Fall of 2017, and her favorite SAB event has been Open Mic Night. She loves Truman because of the campus squirrels! Outside of class and SAB, Daily isn’t involved in anything else yet. Her hobbies include reading, watching Twin Peaks, and cleaning when she’s bored. Daily’s dream job is teaching secondary English in an inner city district.


Madeline Hensley

Madeline is a freshman Psychology and Justice Systems major at Truman; her hometown is Kansas City, MO. She joined the board in the Fall of 2017, and her favorite SAB event has been Pumpkin Carving. She loves Truman because of the tall and big trees that are all around campus. She also thinks it is cool to see all the squirrels jumping from tree to tree. Outside of class and SAB, Madeline is involved in Sigma Kappa and the Women’s Club Soccer Team. Her hobbies include playing soccer and basketball, watching Law and Order: SVU and House of Cards, and being outside and traveling. Madeline’s plan after college is to go to Medical School to become a psychiatrist. She wants to open her own pratice somewhere in the northwest and after retiring she then wants to get involved with public policy and create a non-proft organization that focuses on reducing the negative stigma surrounding mental health.


Leah Ryan

Leah is a junior English major at Truman; her hometown is St. Louis, MO. She joined the board in the Fall of 2017, and her favorite SAB event has been Oktoberfest performer: Taylor Reed. She loves Truman because she sees people she knows every time she walks around campus; it’s a little community. Outside of class and SAB, Leah is involved in Delta Phi Epsilon and Zumba. Her hobbies include theater, writing, and crocheting. Leah’s dream is to be a published author.
