Special Events

The Special Events Committee handles all events that do not fall under any other heading including speakers, dance troupes or anything else. Some examples from the past include the dance crew Battle in Baldwin, Frank Warren (author of PostSecret), indoor ice skating, Recycled Percussion, speaker Patch Adams, magician Justin Kredible, chainsaw juggle Mad Chad, and more!

Committee Chair

Becca is a junior Chemistry major at Truman; her hometown is Boonville, MO. She joined the board in Spring of 2016, and her favorite SAB event has been the Andy Grammer and Ben Rector concert.  She loves Truman because it is the perfect size school for her. Outside of class and SAB, Becca is involved in Sigma Kappa, KTRM, and AMSA. Her hobbies include running, swimming, and binge-watching Netflix. Becca’s dream job is an orthopedic surgeon.


Mary-Kate Mudd

Mary-Kate is a senior Communication major at Truman; her hometown is in St. Louis, MO. She joined the board in the Fall of 2014, and her favorite SAB event was RJ Mitte. She loves Truman because there is always a place where everyone has the ability to feel welcome. Outside of class and SAB, Mary-Kate is involved in Delta Zeta and the Student Ambassador Program. Her hobbies include running, hiking, swimming, and going on adventures. Mary-Kate’s dream job would be as an elementary school principal.


Adam Miesner

Adam is a sophomore Political Science major at Truman; his hometown is Washington, MO. He joined the board in Fall of 2016, and his favorite SAB event so far was Welcome Back Comedian: Tommy Ryman. He loves Truman because of the engaging environment the students and professors create. Outside of class and SAB, Adam is involved in Political Science Student Organization and Pre-Law Club. His hobbies include discussing politics, reading, and fishing. Adam’s dream job would be a lawyer.


Patrick Lucitt

Patrick is a sophomore Exercise Science major; his hometown is Waynesville, MO. He joined the board in the Fall of 2016. He loves Truman because of the community, how everyone seems to be connected through mutual friends.  Outside of class and SAB, Patrick is involved in Pi Kappa Phi and ROTC. His hobbies include being outdoors, running, going on adventures, and hanging out with friends. Patrick’s dream is to be a trauma surgeon.
