The Concerts Committee is responsible for bringing musical acts to campus. Events range from world-renowned artists to intimate acoustic coffeehouse performances.



Alex Vogel – Committee Chair

Alex is a senior Justice Systems major from Jefferson City, MO. He is involved in the Air Force in addition to being a student at Truman. In his free time, Alex enjoys playing sports and being outdoors.  He joined the board in Fall 2018, and his favorite event since has been when SAB brought hot air balloons to campus. After Truman, he wants to become a military officer or a highway patrolman.

Abigail Brink

Abigail is a freshman majoring in nursing from Liberty, Missouri. Outside of SAB, Abigail is a member of choir and religious organizations. She spends her free time dancing, reading, listening to music, hiking, or eating. Abigail joined the board in the Fall of 2020 and really enjoyed the tie-dye your own PPE event. After graduating from Truman, she hopes to be a labor and delivery nurse.

Mia Laing 

Mia is a junior majoring in psychology with a minor in criminal justice from O’Fallon, IL. Outside of SAB, Mia is a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and works in the business office. She actively participates in “subs in the hub” every month. She joined the board in the Spring of 2020 and notes that her favorite event is SAB’s annual massages in the SUB. After graduating from Truman, she hopes to attend law school. 

Lucy O’Connor

Lucy is a freshman with a major in exercise science from Kansas City, Missouri. On-campus, Lucy is involved in the Ryle Hall Council and club tennis! In her free time, she loves to hike, kayak, and spend time with her family and friends. Lucy joined the board in the Fall of 2020 and hasn’t experienced many events yet, but is excited to be a part of it all! After graduating from Truman, she is planning to become an occupational therapist.

Augustine (Gus) James Williams

Gus is a freshman double majoring in agriculture science and business from Leonard, MO. In his free time, Gus likes to workout, play basketball, watch movies, listen to music, or just drive around with some friends. He joined the board in the Fall of 2020 and is most excited about the Spring concert. After graduating from Truman, Gus would like to attend law school. Eventually, he would like to return to his hometown to practice law focusing on farm policy, business development, and estate planning.

Xoe Zuber 

Xoe is a junior English major from Kansas City, MO. Outside of SAB, she does “absolutely nothing.” She enjoys “absolutely everything.” She joined the board in Fall 2018. Her favorite event has been every event because they have all been so wonderful. After Truman, she wants to become an inner-city teacher so that she can make a difference at the root of a problem that’s making America into what it seems to be today. Catch her making plans to live in New York as a teacher, picking out her cardboard box because she’s not making any money.
