What does SAB do:
The Student Activities Board (SAB) is divided into committees that are
responsible for bringing various forms of entertainment to Truman's campus for
the benefit of the students. Events have included comedians, concerts, trivia
nights, talent shows, guest speakers, bingo, movies, and a number of other
affairs. Usually these events are free to students, although some larger events,
such as a concert or comedian, may have a small ticket price. Students who
participate in SAB oversee the entire process of organizing, booking, and
providing quality entertainment to campus, from working with agents and managers
right down to reserving food from the school's catering company.
Can I be a part of SAB:
Any current full time student of Truman University can be a part of SAB. SAB
holds an application period in the beginning of both the Fall and Spring
Semesters. Prospective applicants must fill out an application form during this
period, and from this pool SAB will conduct a series of interviews before
determining which applicants to induct. SAB is a large time commitment, but it
is also a very rewarding experience and a great community.
